Carmel by the Sea
Carmel by the Sea was built in the 1920’s by a young dressmaker who was drawn to the area for it’s serene, artistic community. This picture perfect cottage along with a wee guest house was once for sale through CarmelRealtyCompany.com
Eighty-five years later this fairy-tale cottage has been beautifully and immaculately restored as you can see by the pictures!
The stone fireplace is original as are the wood floors.
A stylish European kitchen with quintessential breakfast alcove, offers all the modern amenities for today’s chef.
More views of the bright white kitchen with white marble countertops along with a deep farmer’s sink. The contrasting granite on the island is very popular where I live also (Texas.)
Updated bedroom painted in a soothing blue. How about the seahorse pillow?
This is the guest house living room. Small but perfectly appointed.
Here is the guest house bedroom. Notice two things. See how the pillow is duplicated from living room to bedroom for continuity? Also, check out the wood ceiling beams. I don’t know if they’re original or added later for warmth.
I can practically see the butterflies and hummingbirds that are sure to live in the cottage (English?) garden.
