Blue and White Bedroom Ideas

One of the best ways to incorporate the blue and white beach theme into your bedroom is by using blue and white bedding. Whether you choose crisp white sheets with a blue border or a bold blue and white patterned comforter, this classic color combination is sure to create a serene and calming atmosphere in your space. To further enhance the coastal feel, consider adding some nautical-inspired accents such as throw pillows or a woven coastal blanket at the end of the bed.

Wall decor is another option to give your bedroom the coastal blue and white theme. Use a sizable piece of artwork depicting a beach or ocean scene as the room’s main point. As an alternative, you might decide to go with a gallery wall of blue and white pictures or artwork to make a striking display. Try integrating driftwood, seashells, or other organic materials into your wall decor for an even more seaside atmosphere.

When it comes to furniture, you can use white painted pieces to contrast with the blue accents in the room. Consider a white-washed wooden headboard, white nightstands, or a distressed white armoire. To add a pop of blue, choose a statement piece such as a blue upholstered accent chair or a blue velvet sofa.

Lighting is also an important factor to consider when creating a blue and white beach theme bedroom. Consider adding a chandelier with a coastal motif, such as one with a white woven shade and blue glass accents. You could also opt for table lamps with white shades and blue bases or a collection of blue and white lanterns. Beach Bedroom Lighting here.

Did we start with a heavenly blue and white beach theme bedroom or what?! What’s so fun about it is that even tho the bedding looks expensive, the upholstered headboard and the simple white night stand are fairly inexpensive items on Amazon. Look how clever she was adding a few beachy jewelry necklaces to diffuse the unattractive thermostat.

This shades of blue and white bedroom is brought to us by the infamous Sarah Richardson. She is the host, co-creator and co-producer of over 350 episodes of the HGTV series. She is known for her upbeat contemporary look. This blue (do I spot teal?) and white bedroom errs on the more traditional side, but boasts a fresh approach to give it a new feel.

Here is a white and blue bedroom that has delightful dolphins above the bed. They are brought to you by Abby of Blairsville, GA. She also does whimsical octopus, starfish, crabs. And even mermaids. See our Mermaid post for mermaid decor and gifts.

This white and blue bedroom coastal style has several shades of blue. They pull it together with striped rug and the striped pillow. The white duvet cover with navy blue inset border is so classic, we found it for you on Amz here. (and you can see it below)

This gorgeous blue and white bedroom, coastal style is a makeover done by Kim at SandandSisal.com. She was going for a tropical resort vibe. The textured blue and white wallpaper was a bear to install, but I’d say worth it. Don’t you think?

The sisal rug at the end of the bed adds a nice layering of texture to the room.

Tamara over at Citrine Living is going for a soft, relaxing feel to this blue and white beach theme bedroom. I like how she mixed the tans (think sand!) with the blue and white. Notice how she added a distresses tapestry rug.

It’s definitely a summer day with blue and white beach vibe bedroom from the Carstens family with blues/white/greys bedspread. They are based in the Pacific Northwest (since 1988) and they offer premium coastal decor that shows their dedication to quality.

We couldn’t find quite the anchor pillows featured on that blue and white bedding, but we did find a fun blue, white and brown anchor pillow.

Ok, Randi’s white and blue bedroom is one of my faves. I love the white on white and then pops of blue for interest. And how about her girlie girl art deco mirrored night stands? Again Amz comes thru with a large variety of affordable gold/mirrored nite stands.

Remember to add finishing touches to complete your blue and white coastal bedroom. Consider potted plants, such as a tall palm or a fern, to bring a touch of nature into the space. You could also incorporate some blue and white pottery or ceramic pieces, such as vases or planters, to further enhance the coastal vibe. Even pretty beach themed glass and items for dresser top or nightstand.
